World map of calory consumption 1961

Map of Energy consumption (kcal/person/day) per country in 1961. World average was 2,253.9 kcal/person/day.

Note:

·     I interpreted France in the data as including the overseas departments of Reunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique, and French Guiana as they are integral parts of France.
·         I interpreted China in the data as not including the SARs of Hong Kong and Macao.
·         The data/colour given for the following former countries were assigned as follows:
·         Yugoslavia, Socialist Federal Republic of to Slovenia, Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro
·         Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia
·         Czechoslovakia to Czech Republic, Slovakia
·         In addition the data was given for Belgum/Luxemburg, thus I've coloured both with their joint value. I believe that the same applies to Occupied Palestine/Israel.
